Responder Robotic Platform
The Responder platform is more than just a pipe inspection camera. It uses trenchless technology to perform pipe inspection and pipe rehabilitation tasks in interceptor and tunnel pipe ranging from 36 inches to 50+ feet in diameter. Responder can deploy for up to one mile through a single 24-inch manhole. With its on-board hydraulics and ability to navigate by sonar, laser, or video, the robot can access the most challenging environments.
Responder's pipe inspection camera delivers digital data that provides a greater level of
understanding in assessing pipe condition and rehabilitation
issues that need to be addressed. When the synchronized
geometric data is combined with visual information, it delivers
a comprehensive evaluation technique that reduces the probability
of error as well as time and cost for pipe rehabilitation.
The Responder’s trenchless technology includes laser scanning, sonar sewer profiling, hydrogen sulfide detection (H2S), and CCTV pipe inspection. This technology can greatly improve sewer asset management and conformance with the EPA Nine Minimum Controls.
