RedZone Robotics introduces The RedZone Flex Lateral Cutter?

Revolutionary system that offers unmatched flexibility and performance to make its debut at

The PUMPER Show on February 19th, 2004

Pittsburgh, PA ? February 19th, 2004 ? RedZone Robotics, Inc., the leader in Trenchless markets including pipes and tanks, today announced the debut of The RedZone Flex Lateral Cutter?.  Where a typical lateral cutting system can complete approximately 15 manual cuts, the RedZone Flex Lateral Cutter? can cut approximately 50 ? in the same amount of time.    Orders have just begun, with general availability of the flagship product due in the summer, 2004.

?In many cases, lateral cutting is the bottleneck in the re-lining process,? commented Eric Close, Chief Executive Officer of RedZone Robotics.  ?The RedZone Flex Lateral Cutter? allows you to quickly locate the lateral, develop a cut path, and execute the lateral cut using a computer for precise control.  The system will speed up the entire process, allowing contractors to save money right away; doubling or tripling their work throughput.?

The RedZone Flex System? offers a variety of attachments to allow customers to use one piece of equipment for a multitude of applications. RedZone plans to release several of these attachments periodically over the next several years, for applications including light pipe cleaning, root removal, protruding lateral grinding, and lateral inspection and sealing.

Adam Slifko, Vice President of Engineering at RedZone comments further, ?RedZone?s goal is to gradually introduce added functionality to the RedZone Flex System?, including Video inspections, obstruction removal, root removal and cleaning capabilities.  We have developed a single system that can do all of those things and more.?

?Remotely controlled equipment has been around for a while, but the difference with RedZone is that the equipment is smarter, simpler, and faster to use. It saves the contractor money? bottom line,? explains Close. ?We have made a lot of changes? brought in experts from the water and wastewater industry to focus on these new markets. We are all very eager to learn more about these markets and the challenges faced by our customers.?
