Simplify Wastewater Management

with RedZone and COSTARS

  • Achieve compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations
  • Understand your system and prevent failures before they occur
  • Save time and money by pinpointing maintenance & rehabilitation dollars

RedZone's solutions are designed to simplify wastewater management.  Today's wastewater managers are tasked with making critical decisions about their valuable collection system assets while being constrained by insufficient technologies, time, funding, and resources.  The most common approach leads to a reactive maintenance style, where problems are typically only discovered when it's too late.  What is needed is more access and control over useful information that is accurate, complete, centralized and standardized.  We offer world-class robotic inspection technologies and sophisticated data-analysis software.  Our solutions provide the truly useful information that is required to make better decisions while reducing spending and negative environmental impact.

Solo (Inspect 8-12" pipe)

Available via COSTARS, the Solo small diameter inspection robot is revolutionary because it can inspect without an operator present.  These robots inspect 8-12" pipe and provide a 360 degree video, allowing for the data to be coded off-line by RedZone.  This capability enables a single crew to conduct up to four inspections at the same time, resulting in daily footage of 3-5 times that of conventional equipment, yet at costs that are typically less than half.  An added benefit is that anybody can deploy Solos with less than a day's training while receiving fully coded results, so we lease these robots for your crews deploy.  Everything necessary for your crews to deploy is included in the COSTARS price, from equipment to training and data processing; however, we also offer deployment personnel should you not have the resources available.  You only pay for inspection capacity when you need it; we can send Solos across the state overnight.

RESPONDER (Inspect 24" and larger pipe)

Available via COSTARS, the Responder large diameter inspection robot is designed to inspect 24" and larger pipe.  It utilizes the industry's only 3D LADAR, combined with Sonar, Gas monitoring, and CCTV video to provide a full condition assessment of your pipe.  The rugged 650lb tracked platform with over 5,000' of cable gets through pipes that nothing else can.  Our reports provide information about corrosion, ovality, gas levels, sediment levels, and a multitude of other condition factors so that you can make the best decisions about your most critical infrastructure.  RedZone conducts all Responder inspections with our professionally trained personnel.

 ICOM3 (Understand, Plan, and Execute)

Our ICOM3 software as a Service is what brings it all together.  Although available separately via COSTARS, portions of the software are included with all deliverables.  ICOM3 allows you to view inspection observations in a GIS environment, and is even able to bring in your archived data.  ICOM3 also offers a complete work order management solution and powerful tools to prioritize all of your activities.  ICOM3 is installed as a "Software as a Service", meaning that it can run from multiple locations (even from a field laptop) and does not require any expensive computer infrastructure, servers, or seat licenses.

The Results

RedZone's mission is to simplify wastewater management by providing you not just with technologies, but with the most useful information possible so that you can feel comfortable that you are making the best decisions about your infrastructure.  All processing of inspection results is conducted in our Pittsburgh office by a large department of expert technicians and scientists that no contractor can match.  Importantly, this world-class capability is included in our COSTARS pricing.
