RedZone Unveils Solo Autonomous Sewer Inspection Robot

RedZone Robotics Press Release

Pittsburgh, PA. RedZone Robotics today announced the release of their Solo autonomous sewer pipe inspection robot pipes. Solo is a revolutionary, environmentally friendly product that conducts unmanned, battery operated inspections of 8-12” diameter sewer pipe. Conventional equipment requires a cable connecting the camera to an operator aboveground who must manually conduct the entire inspection. Solo removes this need, enabling collection system managers to inspect at unprecedented rates, with minimal training, through access points that cannot be reached with conventional CCTV, during wet weather events, and with minimal traffic and community disruption. Because inspections are unmanned, Solo frees up resources so that users can truly do more with less.

A special guest did the honors of unveiling Solo to the world

Mr. Eric Close, President and CEO of RedZone commented, “There has never been a product like Solo in wastewater and there couldn’t be a better time to introduce Solo. Collection system managers need useful, complete information quickly to ensure that their pipes are in good shape and not harming the environment. Solo will help our clients inspect faster and more completely than ever. When you couple Solo with our ICOM3 software-as-a-service for asset management, you have a uniquely powerful, easy to use, turnkey inspection management program.”
